Afternoon Shift - Production Operator
(Forklift Licence Required)

About the Role

We are seeking experienced and reliable Production Operators to join our manufacturing team. This is a hands-on position that combines forklift operation, machine operation, raw material handling, and production support activities.
This is not a traditional warehouse forklift role. Operators will spend approximately 50% of their time operating forklifts and 50% performing machine operation and production-related tasks. Successful candidates will be comfortable working in a fast-paced FMCG manufacturing environment and willing to assist across multiple production areas as required.

Key Responsibilities

- Operate forklifts safely and efficiently within the production setting.
- Supply raw materials and packaging materials to production lines.
- Operate depalletising and production equipment safely and effectively.
- Load materials into machinery and monitor machine performance.
- Remove empty pallets, waste materials and production by-products.
- Cut straps, unpack materials and prepare product for production.
- Support production line operations and equipment changeovers.
- Conduct basic machine troubleshooting and fault reporting.
- Follow site safety procedures, GMP and quality standards.
- Wear and maintain required PPE at all times.
- Assist across different production areas as operational demands require.
- Maintain cleanliness and housekeeping within the production area.

Skills & Experience
Essential

- Current LF Forklift Licence.
- Previous experience operating forklifts in a manufacturing,



production or FMCG environment.
- Experience working around machinery and production equipment.
- Strong understanding of workplace health and safety requirements.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Good communication skills and a proactive attitude.
- Reliable attendance and strong work ethic.

Desirable

- Experience operating depalletisers or automated production equipment.
- FMCG manufacturing experience.
- Machine operation experience.
- Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Experience working in high-volume production environments.

Physical Requirements





- Frequent forklift operation.
- Repetitive lifting and manual handling.
- Regular on/off forklift activity.

Success in This Role

The successful candidate will be a highly autonomous operator who can relieve pressure across multiple production areas through safe forklift operation, strong machine operating capability, flexibility, and a proactive approach to work.
This role is ideal for an experienced production operator who enjoys a varied position rather than being solely forklift-based or solely machine-based.
