Seeking a Project Manager with 5+ years conducting Mandatory Systems Reviews and delivering cloud transformation programs

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager with a minimum of 5 years' project management experience to lead complex Defence-related technology initiatives based in Canberra. The successful candidate will have a strong background in Defence environments, proven experience conducting Mandatory Systems Reviews (MSR), and a demonstrated track record delivering cloud transformation programs. This role requires exceptional stakeholder management, governance, risk management, and delivery capabilities.

Required Experience and Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years' experience as a Project Manager delivering complex ICT or technology projects.

• Demonstrated Defence industry or Defence client experience.

• Mandatory experience conducting and managing Mandatory Systems Reviews (MSR).

• Proven experience leading cloud transformation, cloud migration, or cloud modernisation programs.

• Strong understanding of project governance, risk management, and delivery frameworks.

• Experience managing multidisciplinary teams and multiple stakeholders.

• Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement skills.





• Ability to manage competing priorities in a complex and regulated workplace.

Desirable Qualifications

• PRINCE2 Practitioner, PMP, Agile, or equivalent project management certification.

• Experience with Microsoft Azure, AWS, or other enterprise cloud platforms.

• Knowledge of Defence ICT policies, security frameworks, and accreditation processes.

• Experience managing infrastructure, application modernisation, or digital transformation projects.

• Relevant tertiary qualifications in Information Technology, Business, Engineering, or a related discipline.

Location: Canberra, ACT

Contract Term: Initial 6-month contract with a 6-month extension option

Contract: 6 Months Contract with 6 month extensions

Security Required: Baseline Security Clearance required
