ALS is seeking a talented and passionate Senior Front-end Web Developer to join our Software Development team. In this role, you will be primarily responsible for designing and building modern, responsive, and user-friendly web applications with a strong focus on frontend architecture, UI development, usability, and design quality.
You will play a key role in delivering intuitive, performant, and maintainable browser-based applications that support critical business workflows. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys translating user and business needs into elegant web experiences, building reusable UI components, and contributing to contemporary frontend standards and practices.
While exposure to cloud platforms, APIs, and backend technologies is beneficial, the primary focus of this role is frontend web application development, including single-page applications (SPAs), component-based UI development, and collaboration with product, UX, and backend teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain modern web-based user interfaces and single-page applications
- Build reusable, scalable, and maintainable frontend components using modern JavaScript frameworks and UI libraries
Required Skills and Experience
- Strong commercial experience in frontend web development
- Strong experience building modern JavaScript/TypeScript web and SPA applications
- Hands-on experience with one or more modern frontend frameworks such as Vue.js, React or Angular
- Experience with frontend UI/component libraries and frameworks such as Vuetify or Material UI
- Experience with modern frontend tooling such as Vite, package management and build tooling
- Strong knowledge of HTML5, CSS3 / SCSS, JavaScript / TypeScript, responsive design principles and cross-browser compatibility
- Experience creating reusable components, modular frontend architecture, and consistent UI patterns
- Strong understanding of frontend performance, maintainability, and usability
- Experience consuming and integrating RESTful APIs
Highly Regarded / Desirable
- Experience with C# and .NET / .NET Core, including an understanding of backend application architecture and REST API development.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Azure services, cloud-native development, Docker, Kubernetes, and Azure DevOps release processes.
- Experience working with SQL Server, MongoDB, or other relational and NoSQL data platforms.
- Exposure to microservices and distributed-system architectures.
- Experience working in Agile environments, including SAFe, PI Planning, and Agile Release Trains.
