Disability Support Worker

Location: Frankston, Burwood & Aspendale Gardens

Work Type: Casual / Ongoing Shifts/ Regular Shift Patterns

Pay Rate: $39-44/hour

About the role

We have an exciting and rewarded support opportunity to share with you. Located in Metropolitan Melbourne, you will be part of a 24/7 care team to support our clients with Complex care needs.

You will provide full assistance with all ADL's as well as clinical support of Catheter Care, Bowel care and Peg Feeding. Due to the nature and complexity of the client's needs, you will need to have relevant disability experience. An extensive onboarding program will be provided with buddy shifts to help you with your transition.

Your key responsibilities

Our team is looking for a dedicated and passionate Disability Support Workers, who can provide full personal care and daily living support within a 24/7 care team along with:

- Manual handling
- PEG feeding




- Personal care
- Bowel Care
- Medication administration
- Domestic assistance
- Peg Management and Feeds
- Cough assistance
- Pressure area management
- Rehabilitation exercises

About you

To join the team, we are looking for the following skills and experience:

- Previous disability experience (minimum 2 years)
- Manual handling experience (essential)
- Spinal Cord and ABI experience
- Personal care experience
- Current First aid and CPR
- NDIS Screening Card
- Manual handling certificate (or willing to obtain)
- Medication certificate (or willing to obtain)
