ABOUT THE ROLE

The primary responsibility of the General Operational Staff – Cleaner is to maintain the College buildings in a protected, clean and hygienic condition on a daily basis, supporting the Maintenance Team in keeping the campus grounds and facilities to a high standard that reflects well on the College.

Opportunities are available for both permanent and casual roles with various shift options between 6.00am and 5.30pm, Monday to Friday. Working arrangements may include morning shifts from 6.00am to 10.00am, afternoon shifts from 1.54pm to 5.30pm or a combination of both on a split shift arrangement.

Key Responsibilities

The following responsibilities are indicative but not exhaustive of the scope and nature of the role.

- Assist the College to provide a safe and clean campus environment.

- Attend to daily cleaning of classrooms, offices and amenities.

- Work collaboratively as a member of the Maintenance Team.

- Ensure that WH&S; practices are strictly followed.

Knowledge, Skills and Qualifications





- Experience and proven ability in a wide range of cleaning duties.

- Basic knowledge of the operation of a range of tools and equipment required for cleaning a large site.

- Effective communication skills.

We are looking for someone who is:

- Reliable, self-motivated and able to act as a positive role model for students and team members.

- Energetic, proactive and capable of demonstrating inititative within the boundaries of school policies.

- Physically able to perform the role.

- Adept at problem solving and is versatile.

- Able to work independently without direct supervision.

- Commitment to Child Safety Standards and Safeguarding Policies.

- Alignment with the College's values and supportive of the College's ethos and vision..

- A current Working with Children Check is a requirement of the role.
