Psychologist - Clinical Research Fellow (Grade 3), Psychology Clinical Education & Research Team
0.5 FTE Fixed Term contract until January 2028
About the Role
An exciting opportunity is available for a Grade 3 Psychologist to join the Psychology Clinical Education and Research team in a clinical research role. This is a part time (0.5 EFT), fixed term opportunity until January 2028.
This position plays a key role in contributing to the strategic direction of psychology services at Monash Health through integrated research, evaluation and service innovation. Working in partnership with psychology researchers, the education team, clinical teams and academic collaborators, you will contribute to the design, implementation and translation of evidence-informed initiatives that improve outcomes for consumers and families.
In this dynamic role, you will:
- Design and evaluate research and service improvement initiatives across psychology programs, including education
- Contribute to the development and evaluation of creative models of care
- Provide consultation on research design and evidence-informed practice
- Support workforce development, supervision and the growth of research capability across psychology
A Day in the Life
In this role, you will:
- Implement and contribute to research and evaluation projects across psychology programs
- Work with clinical and education leaders to generate insights that inform service design, innovation and strategy
- Apply qualitative and quantitative methodologies to analyse data and inform improvement initiatives
- Translate findings into practical, scalable service improvements across a complex health system
- Support grant development, reporting and dissemination of findings
- Provide mentoring,
supervision and capability building for clinicians and emerging researchers
- Engage with internal and external stakeholders to strengthen research translation and impact
About You
You are an experienced, motivated and strategically minded scientist practitioner who is passionate about improving services through research, innovation and collaboration. You will demonstrate:
- General registration as a Psychologist with AHPRA, with area of practice endorsement
- Psychology Board of Australia approved supervisor
- Minimum of five years of experience as a psychologist
- Significant experience in clinical research, evaluation and/or service development
- Strong skills in qualitative and/or quantitative data analysis to inform evidence-based practice
- Experience mentoring, supervising or building capability in others
- Experience applying innovation approaches such as service design or design thinking
