About the role

Kidz Ink Long Day Care Centre is seeking an Experienced Diploma Room Leader to join our team in Campbelltown, NSW. This is a full-time position that plays a vital role in delivering exceptional early childhood education and care. As Room Leader, you will be responsible for leading and managing a dedicated early learning environment, ensuring children receive high-quality care, education and developmental support. What you'll be doing

- Lead and manage day-to-day operations within your room, creating a safe, welcoming and developmentally appropriate learning environment

- Plan and implement play-based learning experiences that promote children's cognitive, social, emotional and physical development in line with the Early Years Learning Framework

- Observe and assess individual children's development and use this information to inform tailored learning plans and programming

- Supervise and mentor team members within your room, providing guidance and support to educators and support workers

- Build and maintain positive, respectful relationships with families through regular communication, parent-teacher meetings and progress reports





- Maintain comprehensive documentation, including children's portfolios, incident reports and compliance records

- Ensure all health, safety and hygiene standards are consistently met, including managing routines for rest time, meals and personal care

- Collaborate with colleagues across the centre to ensure consistency in educational philosophies and care practices

- Contribute to professional development initiatives and support continuous improvement within the centre

- Liaise with external professionals such as speech pathologists, occupational therapists and health services when additional support is required

What we're looking for

- A current Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care

- Minimum of 3–5 years' experience working in early childhood education and care, with experience in a room leader or supervisory capacity

- Strong knowledge and demonstrated application of the Early Years Learning Framework and current best practice in early childhood education

- Excellent planning, programming and documentation skills with the ability to create individualised learning experiences for children and to provide a school readiness program

- Proven leadership and mentoring abilities, with experience managing and supporting a team of educators

- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong, collaborative relationships with families,



colleagues and external professionals

- Sound understanding of child safeguarding, compliance requirements and duty of care obligations

- Current First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain if not already held)

- Working With Children Check clearance (or willingness to apply)

- Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment

- Patience, empathy and a genuine passion for supporting children's development and wellbeing

- Experience with childcare management systems and digital documentation is advantageous
