People & Culture Advisor

Part-time | 20–25 hours per week | Hybrid

$90,000–$100,000 FTE + super, pro rata

Schulz Organic Dairy is a vertically integrated, family-owned business operating from farm to table, producing award-winning organic dairy products and supplying restaurants and independent retailers across Victoria.

With operations across South-West Victoria and Melbourne, and a number of major projects ahead of us, we are looking for an experienced People & Culture Advisor to help strengthen the systems, capability and culture that support our team.

This is a newly developing role with genuine ownership.

You won't simply be maintaining an existing HR function. You'll work closely with our managers to improve how we recruit, onboard, train, develop and support our people, while ensuring the fundamentals of employment compliance and people governance are done well.

The role is part-time and flexible, with the ability to work across our Timboon and Melbourne locations.

What you'll be doing

You'll work closely with department managers and the leadership team across the full employee lifecycle, including:

- Coordinating recruitment with department managers

- Improving and managing our onboarding process

- Preparing employment contracts, letters and employee documentation

- Maintaining accurate and confidential employee records

- Coordinating probation and performance review cycles

- Maintaining training compliance across the business

- Working with managers to identify skills gaps and development priorities

- Supporting skills matrices, cross-training and succession planning

- Providing practical guidance to managers on employee relations and people matters

- Supporting employment compliance, policies and people governance





- Helping managers address performance and conduct issues appropriately

- Identifying opportunities to improve our people systems and processes

- Supporting initiatives that build a high-performing, accountable and values-led culture

What we're looking for

We're looking for someone who enjoys both getting things done and making things better.

You'll ideally have previous experience as an:

HR Coordinator | People & Culture Coordinator | HR Advisor | HR Administrator

More importantly, you'll bring:

- Strong practical HR and people administration experience

- Confidence working directly with managers and department leaders

- Sound knowledge of employment practices and workplace compliance across multiple industrial awards

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

- Strong organisation and attention to detail

- The ability to build trusted relationships across different parts of a business

- Confidence to respectfully challenge managers when required

- The ability to move between operational detail and broader business priorities

- A practical, solutions-focused mindset

- Discretion and sound judgement when dealing with confidential matters

- A willingness to travel between our South-West Victoria and Melbourne operations when required

You don't need to know everything.

We're looking for someone with good judgement who knows what they can handle, when to ask questions and when specialist HR or legal advice is required.
