About the Role
You’ll manage a varied caseload of both private and NDIS clients, delivered via telehealth, working with children and adults across; emotional regulation, sensory processing, feeding therapy and other generalist areas. You will have growing exposure to NDIS Functional Capacity Assessments as your skills and confidence develop.
You’ll be closely supported by our senior OT and clinical supervisors as you learn our telehealth model, clinical systems and documentation standards, with regular formal supervision and real-time support whenever you need it.
You’ll work alongside Pop’s existing team, including 80+ Speech Pathologists, to deliver holistic, collaborative care to our clients.
Who We’re Looking For
We’re looking for an early-career Occupational Therapist who is eager to learn, values feedback, and is excited to help build a brand-new service.
You’ll thrive at Pop if you:
- Have post graduate experience in private practice or are keen to move into this area
- Are enthusiastic about working with children and/or adults across emotional regulation, sensory processing and feeding therapy and generalist areas of OT
- Are curious about (or keen to develop skills in) NDIS Functional Capacity Assessments.
- Believe in the power of telehealth to improve access to care.
- Are coachable, reflective and motivated by continuous learning and growth.
- Are organised, accountable and proactive in managing your caseload.
You’ll Also Need
- A recognised occupational therapy qualification (degree accredited by the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia, or an equivalent approved international qualification).
- Current general registration as an Occupational Therapist with the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia (AHPRA), or be eligible for registration.
- Ability to meet AHPRA’s registration standards on an ongoing basis: continuing professional development, qualified indemnity insurance, criminal history check, English language skills and recency of practice.
- A Medicare Provider Number (or eligibility)
- A current NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain one before starting).
- A current Working With Children Check, valid in your state or territory.
- Australian working rights.
