About the Opportunity

We are looking for an experienced Senior SCADA & OT Systems Engineer to join AGIG and play a key role in supporting the systems that keep our Distribution operations running safely and reliably.

Reporting to the Team Leader - SCADA & OT Systems within Distribution Operations, you will bring your technical expertise to a collaborative environment where your perspective is valued. You will work across SCADA, Operational Technology (OT), communications and real-time systems, partnering with our Network Control Centre, internal teams and external providers to maintain reliable operations while helping shape how our technology evolves.

Key Responsibilities

- Oversee the day-to-day operation, reliability and performance of AGIG's Distribution SCADA and OT environment, including SCADA applications, historian, digital radio communications, remote field devices, networks, and associated management and security applications.
- Support the Network Control Centre through participation in a rostered 24/7 and after-hours support arrangement, ensuring real-time systems and communications remain available and effective, while proactively resolving issues and coordinating required system and model changes.
- Provide technical leadership,



project support and specialist guidance across SCADA, OT and real-time systems projects, from development and testing through to implementation, integration and enhancement.
- Lead and contribute to cost-effective strategies for real-time IT and OT systems, improving integration, performance, resilience and resource utilisation.
- Apply relevant SCADA and OT standards, engineering practices and industry best practices, while identifying and implementing improvements that strengthen reliability, consistency and team performance.
- Stay connected to emerging technologies, industry developments and market changes, exploring opportunities to improve system capability, security and operational performance.
- Build trusted relationships with internal stakeholders, vendors, service providers and industry partners, managing SLAs and risks, sharing knowledge and representing AGIG in relevant industry forums.

About You

- 10+ years' experience across the development, testing, implementation, operation and support of SCADA and real-time systems within complex operational environments.
- A degree-level qualification in Computer Science, Information Processing, Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Strong knowledge of SCADA master station interfaces and configuration, including protocols such as Ethernet TCP/IP, Modbus and DNP3.0.
- Experience working with real-time data and databases, including SQL, supported by knowledge across WAN, LAN, firewalls, servers, SANs, virtualisation and Windows/Linux environments.
- Experience supporting 24/7 business-critical operations, with the ability to approach complex technical challenges calmly and methodically.
- Strong stakeholder and vendor engagement skills, including experience working with third-party providers and managing Service Level Agreements.
- A collaborative, curious and solutions-focused mindset, with strong communication skills and the ability to balance priorities and deliver quality outcomes.
