The Opportunity:
As a Rural Sales Representative / Agronomist at our Brandon Branch, you will be responsible for providing high-quality agronomic advice and technical support to growers while developing and maintaining strong customer relationships and achieving sales targets.
The role combines agronomic expertise, technical product knowledge and sales skills, with a strong focus on understanding customers' cropping programs and recommending practical solutions that improve productivity and profitability.

What You'll Do:
This is a great opportunity to work in a supportive rural environment while driving sales and growing revenue across our rural merchandise range.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with growers and agricultural customers.
- Provide professional agronomic advice, crop recommendations and technical support.
- Identify customer needs and recommend appropriate products, services and crop solutions.
- Achieve agreed sales, margin and business development targets.
- Develop new business opportunities and grow existing customer accounts.
- Conduct regular farm visits,
crop inspections and customer consultations.
- Monitor crop performance, pest and disease issues, nutrition and other agronomic factors.
- Prepare and present product recommendations, quotes and sales proposals.
- Keep up to date with current agricultural products, technologies, regulations and industry developments.
- Work closely with suppliers, internal staff and management to deliver effective customer solutions.
- Maintain accurate customer, sales and agronomic records.
- Support promotional activities, grower meetings, field days and product demonstrations.
- Ensure all sales and recommendations are conducted professionally and in accordance with company policies and relevant legislation
What You'll Bring:
You are a confident communicator and a self-starter who enjoys being out in the field, meeting people, and building lasting relationships. You will be able to demonstrate:
- Agricultural science, agronomy or related industry experience.
- Strong understanding of broadacre and/or horticultural cropping systems.
- Proven sales and customer relationship management skills.
- Excellent communication, negotiation and presentation abilities.
- Commercial understanding with the ability to identify sales opportunities.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Ability to manage your own time, meet deadlines and take responsibility for your output and the quality of your work.
- Current driver's licence and willingness to travel throughout the sales territory.
- Current Forklift licence highly regarded.
Tertiary qualifications in Agriculture, Agronomy, Horticulture, or a related field and Agsafe Accreditation are desirable but not essential.
Candidates must have valid and current Australian working rights to be considered for this position.
