About the role

Arc Spray Engineering is seeking a skilled Machinist & Cylindrical Grinder to join our team in Forrestdale, Western Australia. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in our precision manufacturing operations. In this role, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining Lathes, Mills, Borers or Cylindrical Grinding equipment to produce high-quality precision components that meet our clients' exacting specifications. You will be an integral part of our production team, contributing to the delivery of exceptional engineering solutions across diverse industries.

What you'll be doing

- Operating CNC & Manual machines to achieve precise tolerances and surface finishes on various components and materials

- G Code programming simple tasks on Fanuc or using mastercam if you have the skills.

- Setting up, adjusting tooling, and operating machines to meet technical drawings and specifications

- Performing quality inspections and measurements using precision measuring instruments to ensure components meet required standards

- Interpreting technical drawings and work instructions to understand job requirements and specifications

- Maintaining and performing routine maintenance on Machining equipment to ensure optimal performance and longevity

- Monitoring production runs and adjusting machine parameters as needed to maintain consistency and quality

- Troubleshooting machine issues and making minor repairs or adjustments to minimise downtime

- Maintaining a clean and safe work workplace in compliance with health and safety regulations





- Collaborating with production supervisors and other team members to meet production schedules and deadlines

What we're looking for

- Proven experience operating machines in a manufacturing or precision engineering environment

- Strong understanding of precision measurement techniques and the ability to work to tight tolerances

- Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications

- Safe operation of overhead cranes to load heavy equipment into machines.

- Demonstrated ability to perform routine machine maintenance and basic troubleshooting

- A working knowledge of relevant health and safety standards within engineering workshops

- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship

- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team

- Relevant qualifications or certifications in machining, grinding, or mechanical trades are highly valued

- Experience with (CNC) equipment is desirable but not essential.

- Anyone with REMAN machining experience of earthmoving equipment.
