Position Type: Fixed-Term Full-Time, September 2026 – September 2027 (9 day fortnight, 36.25 hours/week)

Salary Range: LGO5-7 ($95,030 - $119,946 per annum + superannuation) based on skills, qualifications and experience

Location: Townsville

About The Role:

Join Townsville City Council's Digital and Information Services team and play a key role in shaping and supporting the business systems that help deliver services to our community. Working closely with stakeholders across Council, you'll analyse business needs, configure and enhance enterprise applications, and contribute to solutions that improve efficiency, customer experience and service delivery outcomes.

This is a banded role offering opportunities for candidates at different stages of their careers, from developing specialists through to experienced professionals and senior practitioners. Depending on your skills and experience, you may provide system support and configuration, lead business analysis and solution design, manage complex changes across application lifecycles, facilitate workshops with stakeholders, mentor team members, and deliver innovative technology solutions that support Council's strategic objectives.

About You:

Demonstrated experience supporting, configuring or developing business systems in a complex setting. Knowledge of one or more business system domains, such as Asset Management, Human Resources, Finance, Customer Relationship Management, Records Management, Supply Chain, Compliance or related areas. Strong analytical, problem-solving and documentation skills, with the ability to translate business requirements into practical system solutions. A strong focus on delivering high-quality, practical outcomes across the application lifecycle,



from design and configuration through to testing, implementation and ongoing support. Well-developed stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across diverse teams. Understanding of application security, change management, data integrity and system governance principles. Relevant qualifications in Information Technology, Business Systems or a related discipline, and/or equivalent industry experience. Experience with the TechnologyOne product suite is essential. A current Queensland C Class Driver Licence.
