In this role, you'll use your analytical skills, attention to detail, and customer focus to help injured workers navigate the Whole Person Impairment (WPI) process and ensure they receive the correct entitlement for their compensable injury.
Working as a specialist in WPI claims, you will investigate, assess and determine impairment entitlements while providing a high level of support to workers, employers and other stakeholders.
This is a permanent, full-time position based in our Adelaide office, with flexibility to work from home up to 2 days per week once fully trained.
Your Responsibilities
Manage inbound and outbound calls and directing customers queries accordingly while requesting information to assist in the liability assessment processCompleting comprehensive reviews of workers' compensation claimsRequesting and obtaining relevant medical evidence in line with the Impairment Assessment GuidelinesInvestigating and analysing medical, allied health and factual information relating to a worker's injuryPreparing WPI document bundles and assessment requestsDetermining injured workers' entitlement to impairment benefitsCommunicating regularly with injured workers,
legal representatives and key stakeholdersManaging claims in accordance with legislative requirements, guidelines and timeframesContributing to positive customer and stakeholder outcomes through proactive service and support
About You
Tertiary studies or previous experience in legal, mediation or dispute resolution is advantageous Previous experience in a customer-focused or professional services environment.Strong customer service, communication and relationship-building skills.Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.Confident navigating challenging conversations and negotiating outcomes.A growth mindset, resilience and a collaborative approach to work.
