Hawk Logistics is a privately owned transport and logistics company specializing in refrigerated freight. Beginning in 2011 with one truck the business has grown rapidly to provide logistic services to some of Australia’s largest food and beverage manufacturers across the eastern seaboard with more than 600 vehicles and 300 employees.

You will be responsible for:
- Undertaking practical on-the-job training as part of your apprenticeship.
- Learning to diagnose, inspect and repair diesel-powered heavy vehicles under the supervision of qualified mechanics.
- Learning to use hand tools, power tools, diagnostic equipment and workshop machinery safely and correctly.
- Learning and applying safe work practices when working around trucks, trailers and heavy equipment.
- Completing training and coursework requirements associated with your apprenticeship.
- Maintaining a clean, organised and safe workshop environment.
To be successful in this role you will have:
- A genuine interest in pursuing a career as a Diesel Motor Mechanic / Heavy Vehicle Mechanic.
- A robust interest in trucks, heavy vehicles, diesel engines and mechanical equipment.
- Previous mechanical, automotive, workshop or hands-on experience is desirable but not essential.
- A willingness and commitment to complete a formal apprenticeship and associated training requirements.
- Ability to safely follow instructions and work under the direction of qualified mechanics and supervisors.
- Good mechanical aptitude and a willingness to learn new skills.

- Current driver's licence is desirable.
- Current forklift licence is desirable.
