Mission
The role of a Purchasing Coordinator is to ensure that Azelis maintains the right product, in the right place at the right time in order to meet customer demand aligned to Azelis inventory management policies. As a Purchasing Coordinator, you will work closely with the Demand Planning team to align purchasing needs with customer demand and Azelis inventory management policies that maintain inventory availability while reducing impairment and obsolescence risk within your designated portfolio. You form a critical piece of the Azelis Supply Chain designed to maximise Customer Experience, minimise risk and improve overall customer satisfaction levels.
Responsibilities
- Daily / Weekly review of Materials Requirement Planning (MRP) planned purchase order suggestions to maintain inventory levels within desired levels, maximise inventory availability and minimise impairment and obsolescence risks / costs
- Review Planned Purchase Orders before submission to ensure relevance, accuracy and requirements are aligned to actuals
- Submit Purchase orders to suppliers that align with demand and relevant inventory policies
- Maintain ETA information ensuring accuracy and validity so that Customer Experience Officers (CEO's) and Logistics Coordinators have the most relevant and accurate information available at all times
- Work collaboratively with the Commercial Team to align purchasing activities with customer demand
- Conduct periodic inventory review meetings with Business Unit Mangers to align supply with demand while minimising impairment and obsolescence risks
- Periodic reporting as required based on specific needs
- Administrative tasks to support financial reporting across Landed Cost and Distribution Costs (LC/DC)
- Invoice reconciliation and validation as required
Qualification & Skills
- Passionate about customer service
- Minimum 1 - 3 years' experience in a purchasing role with exposure to DG and / or regulated product environments preferred
- Logical, pragmatic and detail oriented operating style
- Experience with Microsoft D365 highly desirable
- Intermediate skills across Microsoft applications such as XL, Word, Outlook, TEAMS
- Fluent in English
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Adaptable, comfortable in a changing environment and responsibilities based upon organizational needs
- Formal qualifications in Supply Chain, Logistics or Transport Management highly regarded
