- Part time position (60.8 fortnightly hours)
- $106,194.00 p.a + Super + Salary Packaging* (to increase your take home pay)
- Located in Adelaide CBD

The role combines community development with trauma-informed therapeutic practice to strengthen connections, support people impacted by intercountry adoption, and build the capacity of the broader adoption community.

Who we are looking for

To be successful in this role you will have:

- Tertiary qualification (AQF level 7) in social work, psychology, counselling, or related discipline.
- Demonstrated understanding of lived experience and support needs of people who have experienced intercountry adoption, including adoptees, adoptive parents, and their families.




- Demonstrated experience in delivering trauma specific therapeutic interventions with vulnerable people.

It would be a bonus if you have:

- Experience in working with community development principles and practice.

What you will be doing

- Facilitating community capacity building through practical support and peer support groups and activities to optimise connections in the intercountry adoption community across Australia.
- Coordinating therapeutic and psycho-education groups for the adoption community.
- Developing and coordinating peer mentor groups and activities for younger intercountry adoptees nationally.
- Developing resources and information on topics relevant to the Intercountry Adoption community such as search for origins, resources for adoptive parents, and psychoeducation materials.
