The Exchange Hotel is a busy, established hospitality venue offering great food, drinks and entertainment in a lively local setting.

We're looking for a Chef to join our kitchen team and help deliver quality food across a busy and fast-paced service.

The opportunity

As a Chef, you'll work alongside our kitchen team to deliver quality food and consistent service across every shift. You'll be hands-on across food preparation, cooking and service while helping maintain a clean, organised and effective kitchen.

This is a great opportunity for a Chef who enjoys working in a high-volume venue, takes pride in their food and wants to be part of a supportive team.

What you'll be doing

- Master high-volume line execution across busy lunch and dinner services.
- Work hands-on across kitchen stations including sauté, grill and prep.
- Complete mise en place, food preparation, stock rotation and section organisation.
- Maintain consistent food quality, presentation and portion control throughout service.
- Uphold rigorous food safety, hygiene and operational standards at all times.

What we're looking for

- 2+ years' experience in a commercial, high-volume kitchen environment.




- Strong hands-on experience across multiple kitchen stations, including sauté, grill and prep.
- Proven ability to perform under pressure while maintaining quality and consistency.
- Strong understanding of food safety, hygiene and compliance requirements.
- A positive, team-focused attitude with strong attention to detail and pride in your work.

Pay: $36.81 – $51.54 per hour
