Health and Safety Advisor - 3 month contract

Our client, an iconic organisation, is currently seeking the services of an HSE Advisor to work a 3-month initial contract. This is an excellent prospect for a safety professional with strong experience in manufacturing, materials or heavy industry (high risk) to join a high-profile operation and make an immediate impact.

Key Responsibilities:

/n

/n

- Provide day-to-day health, safety, and environmental (HSE) advice and support to site operations and leadership teams

/n

- Conduct site inspections, safety audits, and risk assessments to identify hazards and drive corrective actions

/n

- Investigate incidents, near misses, and hazards, ensuring root cause analysis and effective corrective/preventative actions

/n

- Support the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of HSE policies, procedures, and management systems

/n

- Deliver HSE inductions, training, and toolbox talks to employees and contractors

/n

- Monitor compliance with relevant WHS/OHS legislation, codes of practice, and company standards

/n

- Maintain accurate HSE records, statistics,



and reporting (including incident/injury data and lead/lag indicators)

/n

- Support emergency preparedness and response planning

/n

- Engage and consult with employees, contractors, and stakeholders to foster a positive safety culture

/n

- Assist with internal and external audits and certification processes

/n/n

Skills & Experience Required

/n

/n

- Diploma or Degree in Work Health & Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field

/n

- Proven experience in an HSE Advisor role or similar, ideally within manufacturing, materials or heavy industry environments

/n

- Sound knowledge of relevant WHS/OHS legislation and regulatory requirements

/n

- Strong incident investigation and risk assessment skills

/n

- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence at all levels

/n

- High attention to detail and strong organisational/time management skills

/n

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HSE reporting/management systems

/n

- Relevant certifications

/n

- Happy to be onsite 5 days a week
