Lite Force Electrical
Port Hedland
Port Hedland: 2 town-based roles available. $60–70/hr + penalties, plus $500/week housing allowance.
Family-run contractor, eleven years in business. Already in Hedland? Even better — but we'll relocate the right person too.
About the role: Monday to Friday, 10-hour days, home every night. No swings, no airport carpark, no living out of a bag.
$60–70/hr depending on experience, plus penalties, paid fortnightly. Plus a $500/week housing allowance.
Coming from out of town? Relocation package available, we'll help you find a house — we know the Hedland market and we've moved people into it before.
Already working in Hedland? Have a quiet conversation with us. It goes no further than the phone call. We're not looking to start a bidding war, but if you're not happy where you are, the numbers above are real and so is the offer.
We're taking on two, not one — so you'll have someone alongside you rather than being the only current face on site.
Key responsibilities
- Commercial construction and fit-out
- Commercial maintenance
- Residential maintenance and renovations
- Residential new builds
- Solar, off-grid and battery systems
- Air conditioning — install and service
- Mentoring apprentices
- Working unsupervised across a varied workload
What the work actually looks like: No two weeks are the same. Some days you're on a project — a commercial fit-out, a solar install, a switchboard upgrade — and you'll see it through from rough-in to commissioning rather than being parachuted in for one stage. Other days it's call-outs: a fault at a council building in the morning, a real estate maintenance job after lunch, an aircon that's died in a house in February.
You'll work in a team on the bigger jobs, solo on plenty of others, and you'll have apprentices to bring along.
If mentoring isn't your thing, this isn't the right fit.
You'd know our vehicles around town. Same clients, same jobs, year after year — this is the kind of place where work comes back to you because people know your name, not because a contract got renewed in an office in Perth.
The upside is you don't go stale. Most electrical work up here means one client's site and one maintenance schedule until you go numb. Five years of that and your licence is worth less than the day you got it. Five years here and you can fault-find on anything.
About you
- Unrestricted A Grade WA Electrical Licence
- Manual driver's licence
- WA White Card
- First Aid / CPR
- Low Voltage Rescue
- Working at Heights
- 3+ years post-apprenticeship experience
- Australian work rights
Nice to have: Cert II Split Air Conditioning and Heat Pump Systems, forklift ticket
About us: Lite Force is a family-run electrical contractor based in Wedgefield, Port Hedland. Eleven years in business with six of them in the Pilbara.
We work for local builders, state and local government, town councils, commercial businesses, real estate agencies and homeowners. That mix is deliberate — steady contracted work underneath the project work, and a crew that stays sharp across everything instead of narrowing into one specialty.
Six years in the Pilbara doesn't happen by accident. Our clients call us back, and we'd rather grow with people who want to stay than churn through bodies.
You won't be a number here. Your name is on your work and the people you're working for know it.
What you get on top of the rate: company vehicle, fuel card, uniform and PPE, gym membership, relocation package, and ongoing training and progression.
