Build your consulting career in workplace injury management

This is a development-focused opportunity for someone with experience in case management, injury management, return to work, claims, ACC or a related people-support role who is ready to broaden their career into client consulting.

You do not need to arrive as a fully formed workers' compensation specialist. Recent Zealand is a specialist and developing market for this work, so we are looking for transferable capability, curiosity and sound judgement. We will provide support, technical learning and exposure to build your knowledge over time.

The role will be shaped around the strengths and development needs of the right person. Depending on your experience, you may begin with a stronger focus on injury management and case support, then progressively build capability across client advice, data and reporting, ACC, claims performance and broader workplace risk consulting.

If you have a case management background and enjoy helping people navigate complex situations, building trusted relationships and turning information into practical action, we would encourage you to apply.

The Role

What you may work on

Your responsibilities will grow with your capability. From the outset, you will be supported by experienced colleagues and given practical opportunities to learn.

Injury management and case support

- Support clients with practical injury management,

recovery and return-to-work activities.
- Work with employers, ACC, insurers, healthcare providers and other stakeholders to keep cases moving and support sustainable outcomes.
- Review case information, identify barriers and next steps, and provide clear updates and recommendations.
- Bring empathy, structure and sound judgement to complex or sensitive situations.

Client consulting and workplace risk

- Learn to support client workplace injury and ACC programmes, with guidance from the wider Workplace Risk team.
- Help analyse claims, case and programme information to identify trends, influencing factors and opportunities for improvement.
- Contribute to practical advice, reports and presentations that help clients make informed decisions.
- Over time, build knowledge across claims performance, programme design, premium or levy considerations, and broader workplace risk solutions.

Relationships, service and growth

- Build trusted working relationships through responsive, practical and proactive communication.
- Maintain accurate client records, trackers, reports and time entries in line with agreed processes.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues in New Zealand and across the wider WTW business.
- As your confidence grows, take increasing ownership of client work and contribute ideas to improve and expand our services.
