About the role The Emergency Department (ED) Clerical/Admin Team Leader provides hands-on leadership and oversight of the day-to-day delivery of all clerical functions within the ED. This includes providing high-quality face-to-face customer service, ensuring accurate and timely data entry, preparing reports for internal and external stakeholders, and representing the clerical team at relevant departmental working groups.

The role also provides an opportunity to identify, develop and lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance clerical processes, service delivery and overall departmental performance. This position will incorporate a combination of rostered clerical floor shifts and supernumerary leadership shifts to support the needs of your team and the department.

About you To be successful in this role you will possess:

- A strong commitment to high-quality patient care and experience.




- Ability to provide leadership that empowers those in your team.
- Technical expertise in patient record management systems (preferably IPM).
- Excellent communications skills, both verbal and written.
- Strong organisational and time management skills in a fast-paced acute healthcare setting
- EMR (Cerner/Epic) and VEMD/VAED Reporting experience or knowledge will also be highly regarded.
