Opportunities are available at AHP2 and AHP3 levels, with roles across our local offices and adaptable service teams, offering varied opportunities in assessment, consultation, and developing evidence-informed recommendations to support student wellbeing and learning.

As a psychologist with Student Support Services, you'll play a meaningful role in improving educational outcomes and wellbeing for children and young people across South Australia.

About Student Support Services

Student Support Services partners with schools and preschools to support children and young people with additional learning, developmental, social, emotional, behavioural, and mental health needs.

Our multidisciplinary teams bring together psychologists, speech pathologists, social workers, special educators, and other allied health professionals to provide integrated, evidence-informed support. Psychologists contribute through comprehensive assessment, consultation, and recommendations that help educators and families respond effectively to increasingly complex learner needs.

We are committed to culturally responsive practice, inclusive education, and working alongside diverse communities, particularly in regional, remote, and Aboriginal contexts.

About The Roles

AHP2 –

- Psychologist

Deliver high-quality psychological services as part of a multidisciplinary local office team, supporting children and young people with a broad range of learning, developmental, behavioural, social, and emotional needs. Working collaboratively with families, educators, and other professionals, you'll undertake psychoeducational assessment, provide consultation,



and develop evidence-informed recommendations that support positive educational and wellbeing outcomes. You'll receive ongoing supervision and professional support from experienced Senior Psychologists.

AHP2 –

- Psychologist (Flexible Services)

Join an innovative team delivering psychological services through flexible models, including telepractice, Fly-In Fly-Out (FIFO), Drive-In-Drive-Out (DIDO) and cross-office collaboration. This role expands access to specialist psychological services for regional and underserved communities while providing diverse and rewarding practice across South Australia. You'll work alongside multidisciplinary colleagues to deliver assessment, consultation, and evidence-informed recommendations using flexible and responsive service delivery models.

AHP3 –

- Psychologist

Provide advanced psychological expertise to support children and young people with complex and co-occurring needs. Alongside delivering specialist assessment and consultation, you'll mentor and supervise psychologists, contribute to multidisciplinary practice, and help shape service innovation, continuous improvement, and high-quality psychological practice across Student Support Services.

Qualifications

Essential Current and full registration (general) with the Psychology Board of Australia (AHP2/3).





Psychology

Board of Australia approved supervisor (AHP3).

Desirable: Area of practice endorsement - educational and developmental psychology and/or clinical psychology and/or counselling psychology (AHP3).

Special conditions The successful applicant is required to gain a Department for Human Services (DHS) working with children check (WWCC) prior to being employed which is required to be renewed every five years before expiry.

The incumbent will be required to undertake RRHAN –EC (Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect - Education Care) Facilitator Lead (Masterclass) extended course or the online (Fundamentals) course which will be required to be updated every three years.

Remuneration

AHP2 $94,997 - $ $110,052 per annum (1.0 FTE) + superannuation (12%) + leave loading and applicable allowances.

AHP3 $112,139 - $120,284 per annum (1.0 FTE) + superannuation (12%) + leave loading and applicable allowances.
