Key responsibilities
- Allocating landscape materials and supplies to customer orders based on inventory availability and delivery requirements
- Coordinating with staff to ensure accurate picking and packing of orders for distribution
- Managing delivery schedules for fleet vehicles to maximize efficiency
- Monitoring stock levels and communicating with procurement teams regarding inventory replenishment needs
- Processing and tracking customer orders through the allocation system to ensure timely fulfilment
- Liaising with drivers and delivery personnel to confirm allocations and address any delivery-related issues
- Maintaining accurate records of all allocations, orders, and delivery confirmations
- Identifying and resolving discrepancies between allocated stock and actual inventory
- Providing excellent customer service by responding to enquiries regarding order status and delivery timeframes
What we're looking for
- Proven experience in allocations, dispatch, or fleet management within a logistics or supply chain environment
- Strong knowledge of inventory management systems and logistics software applications
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple orders and priorities simultaneously
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel
- Solid numerical and analytical skills for tracking inventory and optimising routes
- Exceptional attention to detail to ensure accurate order allocation and documentation
- Effective communication skills to coordinate between multiple departments and external partners
- Problem-solving ability to resolve allocation conflicts and delivery challenges
- Reliability and punctuality, with the capacity to work independently and as part of a team
- Understanding of fleet management and logistics principles is highly desirable
- Customer service experience demonstrating a commitment to client satisfaction
