Industry leading paint manufacturer, based in Seaford, requires an Assistant Accountant. This busy role will be working across multiple group entities, including franchisee group, a USA business in a shared service environment. This 9 month contract plays an key role in supporting prompt management reporting and manufacturing accounting.
Key responsibilities
- Bank reconciliations
- Assist with Accounts payable / Accounts receivable
- Cash Audit report / Merchant fee reconciliation
- Processing service revenue
- Assist with Fixed Assets Control
- Preparing entries for month-end
- Balance sheet reconciliations
- Payroll Tax returns
- BAS preparation
- Shipment cost control
About you
- Minimum 3 years' experience in medium sized company in a similar role
- Broad experience in general accounting duties including accounts payable and receivable
- Good understanding of Standard costing
- Demonstrated proficiency and accuracy of data entry
- Excellent knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite
- High attention to detail and the ability to manage priorities
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality in all areas
- Eagerness to continually learn and develop new skills
- Good work ethic and a positive attitude
- Experience with Pronto Xi will be a big advantage
