AAA Auto Parts is a well-established automotive parts business based in Dandenong South, specialising in quality used automotive parts across a wide range of makes and models. We are looking for an experienced and motivated Automotive Parts Interpreter to join our growing team.

About the Role

As a Parts Interpreter at AAA Auto Parts, you will be responsible for helping customers identify and purchase the correct parts for their vehicles. This is a quick-paced, customer-focused role where strong automotive knowledge, attention to detail and the ability to communicate confidently over the phone are essential.

You will work with customers, workshops, mechanics and trade clients to identify parts, prepare quotes, process orders and ensure customers receive the correct components as quickly as possible.

Key Responsibilities

- Answer incoming phone, online and in-person parts enquiries
- Accurately identify the correct automotive parts based on vehicle make, model, year, VIN and other vehicle information
- Provide customers with pricing, availability and accurate quotations
- Process sales and customer orders efficiently
- Assist both retail and trade customers
- Search inventory and stock systems to locate available parts
- Provide alternative options when the exact part requested is unavailable
- Follow up customer enquiries and outstanding quotes
- Build strong relationships with regular trade customers, workshops and mechanics
- Work closely with the warehouse, dismantling and delivery teams to ensure orders are prepared correctly
- Coordinate pickup and delivery requirements
- Maintain accurate customer, sales and inventory information within internal systems
- Assist with stock identification and inventory management




- Resolve customer enquiries and issues professionally
- Maintain a high standard of customer service at all times

What We're Looking For

We are looking for someone who knows cars, works quickly and can confidently deal with customers. The ideal candidate will have:
- Previous experience as an Automotive Parts Interpreter, Parts Salesperson, Automotive Dismantler, Mechanic or similar automotive role
- Strong knowledge of automotive parts and vehicle components
- Ability to accurately identify and match parts to different makes and models
- Excellent phone manner and customer service skills
- Strong sales and communication skills
- Confidence dealing with both retail and trade customers
- Good computer skills and ability to learn inventory and CRM systems
- Experience using Pinnacle or similar automotive inventory systems is highly regarded
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work quickly and accurately in a busy environment
- Good problem-solving skills
- Ability to prioritise multiple enquiries and tasks
- Reliable, organised and team focused
- A positive attitude and willingness to get the job done

Experience within the used auto parts, automotive dismantling or wrecking industry will be highly regarded.
