Shades of Elegance is seeking a reliable and hands-on Blinds Manufacturing & Delivery Assistant to join our production team on a full-time basis at our Campbellfield facility.
You will help manufacture, assemble and package high-quality blinds and occasionally deliver completed orders to customers. This is a practical role suited to someone who enjoys working with their hands, takes pride in producing quality work and is comfortable performing delivery duties when required.
Key responsibilities
- Measure and cut tubes and other materials accurately
- Assemble roller blinds and related components according to production requirements
- Prepare materials, components and equipment for manufacturing
- Operate basic manufacturing machinery and power tools safely
- Inspect finished products and report defects or quality issues
- Package and label completed blinds for dispatch
- Load and unload products safely
- Make occasional deliveries to customers using a company vehicle
- Handle products carefully during transport and provide friendly, professional customer service
- Assist with stock control and inventory management
- Maintain a clean, protected and organised work area
- Support other team members and assist with general workshop duties as required
What we’re looking for
- Previous experience in manufacturing, assembly, warehousing or a similar environment is desirable but not essential
- A current Australian driver’s licence and confidence driving for deliveries
- A protected and responsible approach to driving
- Ability to measure accurately and follow instructions
- Basic mathematical skills for measurements and quality checks
- Confidence using basic hand and power tools
- Good attention to detail and a commitment to quality
- Physical ability to safely perform repetitive tasks and lift, carry, load and unload blinds and materials
- Reliability, punctuality and a strong work ethic
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Willingness to learn new skills and follow workplace health and safety procedures
