About the role

Busselton Shipwright Services is seeking a Boat Repair specialist to join our team on a full time. Based in Busselton, WA 6280, this role offers flexible work opportunities for skilled tradespeople looking to contribute to high-quality marine repair and maintenance projects. As a Boat Repair specialist, you will be responsible for repairing, painting and maintaining various vessels, ensuring they meet safety standards and customer expectations. This position is integral to our operation, allowing us to deliver exceptional service to our clients whilst maintaining the reputation Busselton Shipwright Services has built in the marine industry.

What you'll be doing

- Inspecting boats and marine vessels to identify damage, wear and maintenance requirements
- Carrying out repairs to hulls, structures, fittings and mechanical systems using hand tools and specialised equipment
- Performing routine maintenance tasks including cleaning, coating, sealing and protecting vessels
- Diagnosing mechanical and structural issues and recommending appropriate repair solutions
- Working with fibreglass, timber, metal and other marine materials as required
- Ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently and to the highest standards
- Liaising with customers to understand their repair needs and provide updates on progress
- Maintaining a clean and organised work area, adhering to health and safety protocols
- Following company procedures and quality standards on all projects

What we're looking for

- Proven relevant skills and experience in repairs, marine maintenance or relatable work.
- Proficiency with hand tools and power tools.
- Knowledge of marine materials including fibreglass, timber, metal and composite construction
- Understanding of boat structures, mechanical systems and safety requirements




- Ability to work independently and as part of a team on varied projects
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Self-motivated, physical fitness and capability to perform manual labour and work at heights where required
- Valid driver's licence and willingness to travel to project sites if needed
- A commitment to health and safety practices and workplace standards
- Relevant qualifications or certifications in trades (preferred but not essential)
