Business Analyst / Junior Business Analyst (Entry / Graduate Level)

Role Description We are seeking a structured, analytical, and communicative Business Analyst / Junior Business Analyst to help bridge the gap between business stakeholders and technical execution teams. In this entry-to-graduate level position, you will work closely with Senior Business Analysts, Product Managers, Software Developers, QA Engineers, and Business Unit Leads to evaluate business processes, elicit software requirements, and design functional solutions. You will be responsible for gathering user requirements, translating complex business needs into clear technical documentation, mapping workflow diagrams, and supporting user acceptance testing (UAT).

Responsibilities include organizing requirement workshops, drafting functional specification documents, defining user stories with clear acceptance criteria, performing gap analyses on operational workflows, and tracking requirement changes throughout project lifecycles. Success in this position requires sharp logical reasoning, strong process-mapping skills, proficiency with modeling tools, clear technical writing, and an articulate, collaborative communication style.

Qualifications

- Education: Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Business Information Systems, Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or a related quantitative/business field; introductory certifications (e.g., ECBA or PMI-PBA) are an advantage.
- Requirements Elicitation & Analysis: Knowledge of techniques for gathering, analyzing, and validating functional and non-functional requirements from diverse business stakeholders (e.g., workshops, interviews,



survey design).
- Process Mapping & Workflow Modeling: Capability to visualize and document business processes ("as-is" vs. "to-be" workflows) using standard notations such as BPMN, UML, or flowcharts in tools like Microsoft Visio, Lucidchart, or Miro.
- Agile & Waterfall Documentation: Familiarity with writing detailed Business Requirement Documents (BRD), Functional Requirement Specifications (FRS), and drafting Agile User Stories with explicit Acceptance Criteria (Gherkin/Given-When-Then format).
- Agile Project Tools: Exposure to project management platforms (e.g., Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, or Trello) to maintain requirement backlogs and trace user story implementations.
- Data Analysis & SQL Basics: Practical skills in querying relational databases using basic SQL (SELECT, JOIN, GROUP BY) and using Microsoft Excel / Google Sheets for data validation, gap analysis, and decision mapping.
- User Acceptance Testing (UAT): Ability to assist business users in defining test scenarios, executing UAT test scripts, logging requirement gaps, and ensuring delivered functionality matches signed-off specifications.
- Problem-Solving & Systems Thinking: Strong structured thinking skills to break down complex operational problems into logical business rules and technical components.
- Stakeholder Management & Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills to facilitate alignment between technical developers, project managers, and non-technical business leaders.
