Business Analyst - AI/ML

We're on the lookout for a Business Analyst who's passionate about understanding customer needs and turning those insights into products and solutions that make a real difference. In this role, you'll help drive AI scale and adoption by working closely with Customers, Product Owners and Development teams to shape intuitive product enhancements and tools that deliver measurable customer value.

You'll be at the heart of understanding how customers use our products, the challenges they face and the barriers that may prevent them from fully adopting new capabilities. You'll translate these insights into clear, actionable requirements that help our Development teams build the right solutions and progressively enable a more self-service experience.

As TechnologyOne continues to evolve how we build and deliver software through AI-enabled ways of working, you'll play an important role in helping turn customer needs into meaningful product outcomes. You'll combine strong business analysis skills, customer understanding and sound judgement to help ensure we're solving the right problems and delivering products our customers can trust.

What you'll be doing…

- Develop a deep understanding of our products, including their features, functions, legislative and compliance constraints, and regional or industry-specific requirements.

- Work closely with Product Owners, Customers and Development teams throughout the development process to understand customer needs and translate them into clear, complete and actionable requirements.

- Understand customer behaviours, needs and barriers to AI adoption, and translate these insights into functional and technical requirements for Development teams.

- Define and document user requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, business rules, test cases and other product delivery artefacts.

- Document end-to-end business processes, dependencies and exceptions, presenting complexity clearly so Developers and stakeholders can understand impacts and make informed decisions.

- Contribute to the design and delivery of AI product enhancements and tools that simplify customer workflows,



support scalable adoption and progressively enable a fully self-service experience.

- Facilitate workshops with internal and external Customers to understand requirements and confirm that product designs meet customer needs.

- Conduct Business Acceptance Testing, performing functional testing of key business functions to validate that solutions meet customer requirements and are of sufficient quality and stability to progress through further testing.

- Support functional QA and regression testing as required by the team.

- Work with the Product Success team to develop enablement content that supports the rollout and adoption of products for both internal and external Customers.

- Present and communicate current product features, requirements and outcomes to stakeholders through presentations, forums and other appropriate channels.

- Continually challenge the status quo and identify opportunities to improve business practices, processes and efficiency.

Your Talents…

- Relevant education and/or industry experience.

- Hands-on understanding and application of product modules, features and functions, including legislative and compliance constraints; experience with TechnologyOne products would be advantageous.

- Demonstrated ability to understand customer needs and translate them into structured user stories, acceptance criteria, process models and functional or technical requirements that Development teams can action.

- Proficiency with industry best-practice business analysis tools and methodologies.

- An understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies would be advantageous.

- Strong ability to understand customer problems, behaviours and business processes, and translate these into practical product outcomes.

- Good time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.

- Strong written and verbal communication skills,



with the ability to engage and collaborate with stakeholders across all levels.

- Solid presentation skills, with experience facilitating stakeholder workshops and group discussions.

- Strong attention to detail and the ability to clearly document complex business processes, dependencies and exceptions.

- A customer-focused mindset with the ability to balance customer needs, product requirements and practical delivery considerations.
