Based in Melbourne, this 12-month fixed term opportunity will support multiple properties within Ascott Australia's Victorian portfolio. Working closely with hotel leadership teams and the wider sales network, you will play a key role in driving commercial performance, developing strategic partnerships and identifying new business opportunities.
This is an exciting opportunity for a commercially minded sales professional who enjoys building relationships, networking within the local market and delivering strong business results across a diverse hospitality portfolio.
In this role you will be responsible for:
- Developing and executing sales plans to achieve revenue targets and grow market share across the assigned portfolio.
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with key accounts, existing clients and external stakeholders to drive repeat and new business opportunities.
- Proactively identifying,
qualifying and converting new business leads while maintaining an active and healthy sales pipeline.
- Conducting site inspections, attending networking and industry events, represent and promote the hotels within the portfolio to generate business opportunities and enhance brand presence.
- Maintaining accurate account intelligence in CRM systems, monitoring competitor activity, and collaborating with the cluster sales team to improve sales outcomes.
To be successful in this role you must have:
- Proven experience in sales, business development or account management, ideally within hotels, serviced apartments, hospitality or accommodation.
- Strong relationship-building and communication skills, with the ability to engage confidently with clients, stakeholders and internal teams.
- Demonstrated success in identifying new business opportunities, managing a sales pipeline and achieving revenue targets.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail, including the ability to maintain accurate CRM records and manage multiple priorities effectively.
- A proactive, skilled and team-oriented approach, with the ability to adapt to changing business needs and represent the business positively at all times.
