About Bodd
Bodd is a rapidly growing enterprise body intelligence platform, homegrown in Melbourne and deployed by some of the world’s largest organisations - defence forces, global airlines, theme parks, and health and wellness companies.
Our technology captures a complete picture of the human body in a single, non-invasive scan - precise measurements, body composition, and health vitals - used to size workforces and consumers, and track and benchmark individual and population health over time.
Bodd is active across Australia, North America, Europe, Middle East and Southeast Asia, and expanding. We've been named in AFR's Most Innovative Companies, recognised by NAUMD as Best Uniform Sizing Technology (2023 and 2025), and awarded the PCIAW Technology Award for our work with United Airlines. We're also Great Place to Work® certified.
Bodd is at a critical growth phase - commercialising technology that's genuinely changing how the world's largest organisations understand their people. We're an ambitious yet humble team of technologists and entrepreneurs who take pride in what we build, stay curious about what's next, and care about the people we work with and the problems we're solving. We're taking this platform global, and we're looking for people who want to be part of that.
About The Role The Business Development Manager is the operational engine of Bodd's global sales function - the person who ensures our pipeline, processes and priorities are administered flawlessly across every deal, in every market, every day. Alongside this, the role carries genuine business development responsibility: running outbound sales, supporting global deals across Bodd's core sectors, and driving our growth into the gym and wellness space.
The ideal candidate pairs exceptional HubSpot proficiency, organisation and process discipline with real commercial hunger - someone who champions the standards the whole team works to, makes sure nothing falls through the cracks, and can pick up the phone and sell. This is a globally connected role. Based in Melbourne, they will work across time zones with a distributed commercial team, and regular international travel is a requirement - including customer meetings, demos, and industry events and trade shows.
Proficiency with Claude is a hard requirement for this role. We expect all employees to use AI tools fluently - and to stay curious about what's new - to work faster, iterate smarter, and raise the ceiling on what’s possible. Not as a novelty, but as a genuine part of how you work.
Responsibilities
- Sales Function Administration
Run your own sales administration to an exemplary standard - pipeline hygiene, deal records, task cadences, follow-ups and reporting - and champion that same discipline across the commercial team so consistent, current and complete records are how we sell.
- HubSpot Ownership & Data Integrity
Be the company's HubSpot super user. Maintain the architecture (dashboards, sequences, workflows and reports) and set the data standards the whole team works to. Train colleagues to a point of self-sufficiency and continuously improve how the commercial team uses the platform alongside our partner agency.
- Health Clubs & Gyms Sector Development
Accelerate Bodd's entry into the health clubs & gyms and pharmacy sectors - building the target account list, developing sector-specific outreach and progressing opportunities and supporting deals through to close.
- Direct Business Development
Carry genuine selling responsibility: qualifying inbound leads, running outbound prospecting, supporting demos and site visits, and progressing deals.
- Cadence & Process Discipline
Help run the operating rhythm of the sales function - pipeline reviews, follow-up cadences, deal stage criteria, handoffs and escalations - ensuring nothing slips and every opportunity is progressed or closed out deliberately.
- Commercial Reporting & Prioritisation
Produce accurate, timely pipeline reporting for the executive team and board, including maintenance of strategic account reporting. Constantly cleanse and re-rank priorities so leadership always has a true picture of the pipeline. The Applicant Will Need The Following Attributes
- Exceptional HubSpot proficiency including pipelines, sequences, workflows, dashboards and reporting
- A background in sports, fitness, sport science, physiotherapy or a related health field - through past roles, academic study, or both
- Outstanding organisation, attention to detail and follow-through
- Strong written and verbal communication across internal and customer-facing contexts
- Sound commercial judgement: qualification, prioritisation and pipeline management
- Ability to work effectively across time zones with a globally distributed team
- Comfort with data: reporting, analysis and using pipeline metrics to drive decisions
- Demonstrated experience in B2B business development, sales operations or a similar commercial role
- A proactive, self-directed approach; comfortable learning complex products and markets
- Willingness and ability to travel internationally
Added / Desirable Skills
- Experience selling products or services into pharmacies, health clubs, gyms or the broader fitness sector is highly advantageous
- Experience in hardware, SaaS or hardware-plus-software commercial environments
- Exposure to enterprise, government or regulated customers
- Experience working in a high-growth or entrepreneurial environment
- Solid analytical capability with the ability to interpret pipeline and sales data
Personal Key Attributes You are already skilled and excellent professionally, but we also need you to have the following personal attributes:
- An owner mentality
- An open and creative mind, ‘can’t be done’ is not something you typically say
- A ‘maker’ desire to tinker, and look forward to ‘what if…’
- An amazing can-do attitude, you find a way, always have
- Resilience, things will go wrong, your ability to keep the show moving is paramount
- Detail, you love detail, you believe the devil ‘is in the detail’

- This is a rare opportunity to join a company redefining how organisations use human body data.
This job will be for those that want to create something new and are excited by the unknown. You know that challenges are not barriers. We are developing exciting products in-house, and you will be part of the team that will shape how they reach the world.

Our values As part of ongoing assessment for role suitability, you will be assessed on your alignment with Bodd’s company values: Do What You Say.
We all have a role to play in nurturing this business - it's collectively ours, and we take that seriously.
That means following through on what you commit to. If you say it, do it. No exceptions.
Building something lasting takes all of us pulling in the same direction.
Creative problem solvers.
Most of what we do hasn't been done before. We think fast, move fast, and stay curious. Innovation is how we operate, not something we aspire to. We operate in regulated industries where the stakes are high. We carry that responsibility with pride and stay agile within it. We experiment, we learn, and we keep going.
Good human beings.
We're a tight knit group that looks out for each other and we genuinely care about those around us. And because we care, we’re straight talkers. We don't sugarcoat, we don't overstate, and we don't avoid hard conversations. The most helpful thing you can do is be clear, honest, and respectful. No dickheads, even brilliant ones.
Courageous and humble.
We're laying the track as we race over it.
We're curious, comfortable, and excited by the unknown. We have conviction, and when we get things wrong - and we will - we own it, learn, and move on without drama. Optimism is essential. False bravado and arrogance are not tolerated.
High performing and trusted.
We hire A-grade people and trust them to get the job done. No clock-watching. No hand-holding.
We’re all here to win - we hold a genuinely high bar, everyone is expected to deliver, and we back each other to get there. And when we do, we celebrate it. We also know how you show up matters. In a fast moving environment, energy is contagious. Bring calm to the pace.
Love work, love life.
We're proud of the work we do and we’re genuinely excited to tell our friends about it at a BBQ on the weekend. We know when to push and when to step back. Burning out doesn't serve ourselves, our mission, or each other. Our happiness, health, and the people we love always have a seat at the table.
