The Role

We are looking for an experienced, passionate, and energetic Cafe Manager to lead our front-of-house and kitchen operations. You will be responsible for driving day-to-day excellence, maintaining high service standards, managing staff, and driving business growth.

Key Responsibilities

*Team Leadership: Recruit, train, roster, and mentor a high-performing team of baristas and floor staff.

- Daily Operations: Oversee smooth service during peak trade, ensuring high standards of food, coffee, and customer care.
- Financial Management: Manage wage targets, food/beverage COGS, stock inventory, and supplier ordering.
- Culture & Compliance: Maintain a positive team culture, uphold strict hygiene and food safety standards, and ensure workplace health and safety compliance.
- Customer Experience: Engage with locals, handle feedback professionally, and maintain the cafe’s reputation.

What We’re Looking For





- Minimum 2+ years of management or supervisory experience in a busy cafe or hospitality venue.
- Strong barista skills and a genuine love for specialty coffee and local produce.
- Proven experience with rostering platforms (e.g., Deputy, Tanda) and POS systems (e.g., Square, Lightspeed).
- solid understanding of venue P&L;, wage control, and inventory management.
- Excellent communication skills with a hands-on, lead-by-example leadership style.
- Full working rights in Australia and flexibility to work weekends and early morning shifts.
