Location: Whyalla, South Australia.

Status: Full Time, working 38 hours per week

Annual Salary: from $80,008 to $99,294 per annum (dependent on qualification)

Hourly Rate: $40.49 to $50.25 per hour

About the Position The Case Manager provides case management and support to ensure children and young people are cared for in safe, nurturing environments and providing support and services to foster carers.

As a Case Manager, you will:

- Support foster families and social workers to achieve timely, goal-focused placements aligned with the child’s case plan.

· Provide individualised placement planning and matching for children and young people entering care. · Develop, maintain and monitor the Family Based Foster Care Service in line with policies, funding requirements and agency priorities.

· Conduct professional carer assessments using the approved departmental assessment tool.

· Coordinate foster carer recruitment, assessment and selection processes, ensuring cultural sensitivity and inclusivity.

· Engage with Aboriginal and CALD communities to identify and encourage potential foster carers.

· Deliver mandatory induction training, including Safe Caring Practices and Safe Care of Infants, and facilitate community information sessions.

· Maintain accurate client records, complete assessments,



collect data, contribute to the team, and undertake other duties as required.

About You To be successful in this role you will have:

· Hold or be working towards a minimum Certificate IV in Child, Youth & Family Intervention or Certificate IV in Community Services or another acceptable qualification as listed in Appendix 1 of the Department for Child Protection Minimum Qualification Requirements

· Experience in providing support services to families

· Knowledge of the Family Based Foster Care Service

· Knowledge of the Children’s Protection Act, 1993

· Demonstrated understanding of the impacts of child abuse and neglect

· Demonstrated understanding and knowledge around trauma responsive practices





· Demonstrated ability to maintain high quality file management, which includes collating, maintaining and reporting on accurate data and information

· Experience in working in a highly confidential manner

· High level of communication skills (verbal and written)

· High level of ability in the use of Microsoft Office and Information Technology

Requirements of the role

- Hold (or willingness to obtain) a current DHS Working With Children Check
- Hold (or a willingness to obtain) a National Criminal History Record Check (Police Check)
- Hold a current South Australian Driver’s License (minimum Provisional License)
