CASUAL FLOATING MEDICAL RECEPTIONIST – PERTH METROPOLITAN AREA

GP West Medical Group is a growing healthcare organisation serving the medical needs of local communities across the Perth metropolitan area. We currently operate 18 medical centres across Perth and employ a dedicated team of medical and non-medical staff committed to providing high-quality and efficient healthcare services.

We are currently looking to build our Casual Floating Medical Receptionists.

The Role

Are you an experienced Medical Receptionist who enjoys variety, meeting new people and working across different medical practices?

We are looking for reliable, flexible and enthusiastic Medical Receptionists to join our casual floating reception team.

As a Casual Floating Medical Receptionist, you will have the opportunity to work across different GP West medical centres throughout the Perth metropolitan area, providing reception support where required.

This role would suit someone who:

- Enjoys working in different environments
- Is versatile and available to pick up casual shifts
- Is comfortable travelling between different locations
- Can quickly adapt to different teams, doctors and practice environments
- Is looking for additional hours or casual work
- Has experience working in a busy medical practice

Shifts may be available to cover annual leave, sick leave, staff shortages, additional workload and other operational requirements across our medical centres.

Key Responsibilities

- Greeting and assisting patients in a professional and friendly manner
- Answering and managing patient telephone enquiries
- Managing a busy switchboard
- Booking appointments and accurately entering patient information
- Generating invoices and processing payments
- Processing Medicare claims
- Handling incoming and outgoing mail
- Maintaining doctors' appointment books and schedules




- Responding promptly to doctors' and team members' requests
- Providing general administrative and reception support
- Maintaining a high level of patient service at all times
- Completing other administrative duties as required

About You To be successful in this role, you will have:

- Minimum 2 years' experience in a medical reception role
- Previous experience working in a busy medical practice
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A friendly and professional telephone manner
- Strong computer and administrative skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritise effectively
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to adapt quickly to different medical centre environments
- Best Practice software experience is highly desirable
- A reliable, flexible and positive attitude
- A willingness to travel between GP West medical centres across Perth
