Your role at St John of God Subiaco Hospital
St John of God Subiaco Hospital is currently seeking experienced Registered and Enrolled Nurses to join the casual nursing team.
This opportunity is ideal for nurses who are able to commit to a minimum availability of three days per week and are looking to work in a supportive and dynamic hospital environment.

We have a variety of shifts available to suit your lifestyle
- Monday to Sunday morning and afternoon shift is 7 hours
- Monday to Sunday night shift is 10 hours
The Enrolled Nurse Position:
- Work in consultation with the multidisciplinary team to deliver patient‑centred emotional and basic physical care that meets the needs of patients and their families.
- Assist with patient assessment, care planning, implementation and evaluation, including risk assessment, crisis intervention and emergency management under appropriate supervision.
- Administer medications within scope and apply de‑escalation strategies, education, and therapeutic support in accordance with clinical, legal, and organisational guidelines.
- Maintain accurate documentation, uphold patient rights, utilise reflective practice, and manage resources responsibly to support safe, high‑quality care.
- Work within a Recovery Model patient-focused framework
The Registered Nurse Position:
- Assesses plans, delivers and evaluates patient care, seeking support from senior staff as required.
- Promotes and contributes to effective communication, facilitating teamwork and cooperation within the department and within the hospital.
- Provides patient education and acts as a resource where appropriate.
- Supports and supervises staff and students as required, including orientating and preceptoring staff. Contributes to the achievement of Hospital and Clinical Services operational objectives.
You will hold current registration with Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA)
as a Registered or Enrolled Nurse with a minimum of 2 years’ experience and demonstrated commitment to quality patient care and satisfaction, along with well-developed interpersonal and relationship building skills. To succeed you will have the ability to work effectively and harmoniously within the multi-disciplinary health care team and have a commitment to ongoing education and professional development.

We can offer you
- Registered Nurse Casual Hourly rate: $52.30 to $67.24 (incl. 25% loading), plus 12% superannuation
- Enrolled Nurse Casual Hourly rate: $45.80 to $48.85 (incl. 25% loading), plus 12% superannuation
