Role Description This full time CloudOps Consultant role is based in the Greater Melbourne Area and follows a hybrid work model, with a mix of on-site client engagement and work from home. The CloudOps Consultant will analyze Microsoft 365 and Azure environments to identify optimization opportunities, cost-saving measures, and configuration improvements. Day-to-day tasks include assessing usage patterns, preparing reports and dashboards, recommending changes to cloud governance and architecture, and collaborating with technical and business stakeholders.

The role involves configuring and maintaining optimization tools, supporting implementation of proposed changes, and providing ongoing guidance on best practices in cloud cost management and environment optimization.



The CloudOps Consultant will also contribute to internal knowledge sharing, process improvements, and continuous enhancement of Optimizer365’s AI-driven capabilities.

Qualifications

- Strong understanding of Microsoft 365 and Azure services, including subscription, licensing, and resource management.
- Experience in cloud operations, cost optimization, and environment monitoring using relevant tools and dashboards.
- Knowledge of cloud governance, security, compliance, and configuration best practices for enterprise environments.
- Ability to analyze complex datasets, interpret usage and cost trends, and translate findings into actionable recommendations.
- Effective communication and stakeholder management skills, with experience working across technical and non-technical teams.
- Comfort working in a hybrid model in the Greater Melbourne Area, with strong self-management and collaboration skills.
- Beneficial qualifications include experience with AI-driven analytics, scripting or automation (e.g., PowerShell), and prior consulting or customer-facing roles.
- Tertiary qualification in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
