About the Role This is an opportunity within a mid‑sized Melbourne firm for a lawyer who enjoys practical, commercially minded work to join a busy Commercial & Corporate team. You’ll support and run matters across transactions, governance and general commercial advisory, working directly with senior lawyers and a wide-ranging client base. including ancillary documents and due diligence support - Advising on corporate governance and compliance‑style work (as required) - Supporting company secretarial tasks and corporate maintenance work - Providing pragmatic advice on common commercial risk issues, including consumer‑facing considerations where relevant - Managing competing priorities and progressing matters with appropriate supervision What we're looking for - 3–5 years’ post‑admission experience in commercial/corporate law - Strong commercial drafting and confident negotiation skills - Excellent written and verbal communication - Sound judgement and a practical approach to balancing risk and outcomes - Comfortable dealing with a broad mix of clients Nice‑to‑haves - Experience with elements of: sale of business, share sales (including earn‑outs), complex shareholder agreements, trusts/partnership structures, employee equity plans, company secretarial work - Interest in business development/marketing and building long‑term client relationships Interested in this position?
