Role Description The Construction Project Manager is a full-time, remote role responsible for overseeing security-focused construction projects from planning through completion. This role includes coordinating project activities, managing schedules, and aligning resources across internal teams, external contractors, and clients.
The Construction Project
Manager will prepare and track budgets, monitor project costs, and ensure that installations of security elements and vehicle mitigation barriers meet technical specifications and compliance requirements. Daily tasks involve reviewing drawings and scopes, managing contracts and change orders, identifying and mitigating risks,
and maintaining clear documentation and reporting. The individual will also foster solid stakeholder communication, support quality and safety standards on all projects, and contribute to continuous improvement of project delivery processes.
Qualifications
- Project planning and oversight skills, including Project Management and Construction Project Management, to lead multiple concurrent projects effectively.
- On-site and off-site coordination abilities, including Project Coordination and Construction Management, to align contractors, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.
- Financial management capabilities, including Budgeting and cost control, to develop, monitor, and maintain project budgets and forecasts.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate remotely across multidisciplinary teams and client organizations.
- Proficiency in project management and construction software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera, or equivalent, and common construction documentation tools).
- Relevant tertiary qualification in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, Project Management, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Demonstrated ability to manage timelines, negotiate priorities, resolve issues, and uphold safety and quality standards in line with industry regulations.
