About the role

Callida is seeking experienced Consultants and Senior Consultants to join our CFO Advisory team. In this role, you will work closely with Australian Government clients to solve complex financial and business challenges, strengthen financial management practices and support informed decision-making. Depending on your experience, you may contribute to or lead engagements across financial advisory, budgeting, forecasting, management reporting and finance business partnering.

You will join a collaborative and experienced team that values high-quality work, practical thinking and genuine client relationships. You will also have the autonomy to approach problems thoughtfully and achieve outcomes in a way that draws on your individual strengths and experience.

About you

You are a commercially minded finance professional who enjoys getting beneath the numbers,



solving complex problems and turning financial information into advice that makes a genuine difference.

Your experience may span Australian Government finance, financial advisory, finance business partnering, budgeting or a related area. More significant is your ability to understand the bigger picture, uncover meaningful insights and help clients make confident, well-informed decisions.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills will be matched by curiosity, sound judgement and a practical approach. Building trusted relationships comes naturally, and you are equally comfortable working independently, collaborating with a team and engaging with stakeholders across different levels.

Whether you are an established Consultant ready to broaden your experience or a Senior Consultant looking to take greater ownership of client work, the level of appointment will reflect the experience, capabilities and perspective you bring.

Key Responsibilities

- Apply your financial, analytical and problem-solving skills to support positive outcomes for clients.
- Provide financial advice, analysis and insights to support planning and decision-making.
- Support clients with budgeting, forecasting, financial management and management reporting.




- Work collaboratively with client stakeholders to understand their needs and develop practical, tailored solutions.
- Prepare clear, accurate and high-quality reports, briefings and other client deliverables.
- Build trusted relationships with clients and contribute to a positive consulting experience.
- Contribute to the delivery and continued growth of Callida’s CFO Advisory services.
- Share your knowledge and support the development of colleagues across the team.
- For Senior Consultant appointments, take greater ownership of workstreams, client relationships and the guidance of less-experienced team members.
