The Contracts Specialist (Legal / Procurement) –provides proactive commercial support across Agilitus’ tendering, pre-contract, and procurement activities.

Working within the Commercial team, the role ensures that proposed contract terms, tenders, and commercial submissions align with Agilitus’ governance standards, insurance requirements, and Delegation of Authority framework, while supporting the achievement of successful outcomes for our clients.

The position bridges commercial pragmatism and legal discipline, combining the analytical precision of a legal counsel with the operational insight of a Contracts Specialist to protect Agilitus’ commercial position, contribute to client success, and enable informed decision-making across the business.

Position Key Objectives:

- Conduct detailed commercial and contractual reviews of client and subcontractor tender documents
- Identify and summarise risks, deviations, and opportunities for approval by the Director of Commercial
- Draft and negotiate contract terms consistent with internal risk appetite and market-standard positions
- Coordinate with bid leads, procurement, and the Director of Commercial on clarifications and commercial submission

Here’s what you’ll need

- Tertiary qualification in Law, Business, Commerce, or related discipline, or significant equivalent industry experience
- Proven experience in the mining and engineering sectors, with a strong background in contract review, negotiation, and administration within Australian engineering or construction environments
- Strong understanding of contract law, risk allocation, and pre-contract processes




- Ideally available to start as soon as possible
