About The Role

This is a rare opportunity to lead the delivery of some of Bayside Council's most significant and high-profile capital projects.

As Coordinator Major

Projects, you will oversee a diverse portfolio of complex, multi-million-dollar infrastructure and community projects that directly enhance the liveability, sustainability and vibrancy of the Bayside area.

Working closely with Councillors, Executive leadership, contractors, consultants and community stakeholders, you will ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget and in line with Council's strategic objectives.

Leading a team of experienced project managers and senior design professionals, you will provide strategic oversight across project planning, procurement, contract administration, financial management and governance. You will play a key role in managing project risks, resolving complex challenges and driving successful outcomes that deliver long-term value for the community.

You can also expect to:

- Oversee high-value construction contracts and manage commercial, contractual and project risks.
- Monitor project budgets, forecasts and financial performance across a multi-million-dollar portfolio.
- Prepare reports, briefings and recommendations for Executive leadership and Councillors.




- Lead, mentor and develop a high-performing major projects team.

About You You are a highly experienced project delivery leader with a strong background in capital works, construction or infrastructure projects. With excellent commercial, contract management and stakeholder engagement skills, you can confidently lead teams, manage competing priorities and navigate complex environments while delivering quality outcomes and fostering a high-performance culture.

You will bring

- Extensive experience delivering major capital works, construction or infrastructure projects.
- Proven leadership experience managing complex projects, contracts and multidisciplinary teams.
- Strong stakeholder engagement, communication and problem-solving skills.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management or a related field.

Salary: An attractive remuneration package commensurate with experience and qualifications
