- Band 8, $127,722 - $150,687 + super+ monthly day off
- Full-Time role maximum term until October 2027

As Coordinator

Governance and Councillor Services, you will lead a high-performing team responsible for delivering critical governance functions that support transparent, accountable and effective local government. This is a unique opportunity to work closely with Councillors, the Executive Leadership Team and key stakeholders, providing expert advice that directly shapes Council decision-making, strengthens integrity frameworks and delivers positive outcomes for the community.

You will make an impact by

- Leading and coordinating the Governance team to deliver high-quality governance,



integrity and compliance services across the organisation.
- Providing expert governance advice to Councillors, Executive leaders and Council departments on legislative and regulatory obligations.
- Overseeing Council meetings, Councillor briefings and governance processes to ensure compliance with governance rules and statutory requirements.
- Driving the development, review and continuous improvement of governance policies, procedures and integrity frameworks.
- Building a capable, engaged and high-performing team through strong leadership, coaching and professional development.

What You Will Bring

- Extensive experience in governance, compliance, integrity or a related discipline, ideally within a local government environment.
- Demonstrated leadership experience with the ability to mentor, develop and inspire a diverse team to achieve outstanding outcomes.
- Strong knowledge of the Local Government Act 2020, governance frameworks, legislative compliance obligations and public sector integrity principles.
- Exceptional communication, influencing and relationship-building skills, with the ability to provide trusted advice to senior stakeholders and elected representatives.
- Proven experience in policy development, report writing, investigations, governance reviews and complex problem-solving.
- Sound judgement, discretion and the ability to manage sensitive, confidential and high-profile matters with professionalism and integrity.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications and/or extensive specialist experience, together with a current Victorian Driver Licence.
