Primary Role In this role, you will be responsible for processing credit risk related works such as borrower’s rating and credit applications. Regular reporting and communication to Credit along with Senior Credit Managers and Heads of Credit from time to time, and related parties. The role is responsible for engaging and supporting our customers, to ensure Balmain understands their financial position/performance, experience and ability to meet financial obligations.

Key Responsibilities

- Assist Credit Manager and Senior Credit Managers review Credit Submissions and provide analysis of loan opportunities
- Undertake financial analysis (financial statements and project feasibilities) and credit worthiness for loan applications
- Complete internal credit reports, for loan approval recommendations and investor material




- Structure and draft offer letters and term sheets in conjunction with Senior Credit Managers
- Assist with drafting of SPDS reports
- Review development loan QS reports and recommend progress payments
- Recommend settlement payments
- Work closely with the Credit team’s external loan management provider, lending panel consultants and security document custodians
- Assist with the loan documentation process and negotiation

Competency/Job Skill Attributes/Requirements

- Desire to develop experience in real estate specific banking and finance roles
- Previous work experience in a Credit specific position preferred
- Ability to assist Credit and Senior Credit Managers with review and structure of commercial development and investment loans from initial origination stage to financial close
- Develop credit risk framework skills
- Learn to review and understand loan agreements and liaise with legal consultants to draft loan documentation
- Develop legal understanding of loan settlement process
- Develop the ability to work autonomously within a team setting
- Time management & organisational Skills
- Personable and ability to work in a team is essential
