Role Description

We are seeking a vigilant and analytical Cyber Security Analyst to help protect the organization’s systems, networks, applications, and data from cyber threats. The role involves monitoring security events, investigating potential incidents, identifying vulnerabilities, and implementing effective security controls to strengthen the organization’s overall security posture.

Key responsibilities include monitoring security alerts and logs, investigating suspicious activities and potential security incidents, conducting vulnerability assessments, supporting incident response activities, and maintaining security monitoring and detection processes. The role also involves analyzing threat intelligence, assisting with security audits and compliance requirements, reviewing access controls, documenting security findings, and collaborating with IT and engineering teams to remediate security risks.

Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Security, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles,



network security, operating systems, and common attack techniques.
- Familiarity with SIEM, EDR, vulnerability scanning, security monitoring, and incident response tools.
- Knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/HTTPS, firewalls, VPNs, and common network security concepts.
- Familiarity with security frameworks and standards such as ISO 27001, NIST, or CIS Controls is an advantage.
- Basic understanding of cloud security and identity and access management is preferred.
- Familiarity with scripting or programming languages such as Python, PowerShell, or Bash is an advantage.
- Robust analytical, investigative, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to assess and prioritize security risks.
- Strong communication and documentation skills.
- Ability to respond effectively to security incidents and work collaboratively with technical teams.
- Relevant certifications such as Security+, CySA+, CEH, or equivalent are an advantage.
