Role Description The Data Analyst (Entry / Junior) role at TALENT BASE is a part-time position based in Sydney, NSW with a hybrid work arrangement, combining in-office collaboration and work from home flexibility. The role involves collecting, cleaning, and organizing HR-related data from various sources, preparing basic reports and dashboards, and supporting data-driven insights for talent and workforce initiatives.

The Data

Analyst will work closely with senior team members to perform exploratory data analysis, assist in building straightforward data models, and contribute to the documentation of methodologies and findings. Day-to-day tasks include validating data accuracy, preparing visualizations for internal and client presentations, and communicating key trends and metrics to project teams.

Qualifications

- Strong foundational Analytical Skills and Data Analytics capabilities to interpret HR and business data.




- Basic knowledge of Statistics and experience applying statistical concepts to real-world datasets.
- Understanding of Data Modeling principles, with the ability to support the design of simple data structures.
- Clear and professional Communication skills for explaining findings to non-technical stakeholders.
- Relevant academic background in Data Science, Statistics, Economics, Business, Information Systems, or a related field (completed or in progress).
- Familiarity with spreadsheets and introductory data tools (e.g., Excel, Google Sheets; exposure to SQL or BI tools is an advantage).
- Attention to detail, willingness to learn, and ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team in a hybrid environment.
- Interest in human resources, workforce analytics, or people data is highly beneficial.
