ABOUT MERGE MARKETING
Hospitality isn't just work to us. It's the smell of a kitchen before service, the energy of a function room coming to life, the quiet luxury of a hotel room done right, the anticipation of a table set for a special occasion. We understand this world because we live in it.
Merge Marketing works with restaurants, hotels, resorts, function venues and tourism operators across Australia and Asia Pacific.
We build brands, grow audiences and drive the bookings that matter: room nights, restaurant covers, function enquiries and seasonal ticket sales. Through brand strategy, content, social media, SEO, AI optimisation and paid campaigns, we connect hospitality businesses with the travellers, diners and event planners who fill them.
THE ROLE
You'll be helping launch new hotels and resorts across Australia, filling function rooms for restaurants and selling out food festivals. You'll manage a select group of clients across hospitality, events and travel, while working with the wider account management team to get the most out of their campaigns. That means knowing each account well enough to spot what's working, bringing fresh ideas when a campaign has gone flat, and keeping the standard high on everything.
WHAT YOUR DAY LOOKS LIKE
Most days you're working across your own client accounts, reviewing performance and identifying the next optimisation. Some days you're on site with a photographer capturing content for a launch, or in a planning session shaping the campaign that fills a new venue in its first critical months. In between there's reporting to prepare, client calls to run and creative to review before it goes live. You work closely with the account management team day to day.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage your client base:
build genuine relationships with the clients in your portfolio and manage that base over time, keeping accounts retained, growing the ones with room to grow and identifying recent opportunities within them.
- Build, monitor and optimise campaigns: build the campaigns for your clients across Google, Meta and social, watch them closely once they are live and keep refining them so performance improves month on month rather than plateauing after launch.
- Fresh thinking on campaigns: bring fresh, commercially grounded ideas to your campaigns, tying suggestions back to specific client goals rather than instinct.
- Strategic client partnership: act as the strategic lead on your accounts, setting the direction each quarter, presenting the plan and coming to clients with recommendations rather than waiting to be asked.
- Content capture: brief and liaise with photographers and videographers to capture content on site, so campaigns run on real food, rooms and crowds rather than stock imagery.
- Brand concepts and launch work: work with the team to brand and launch new venues, from a restaurant opening to a new hotel or resort, shaping the positioning and the launch campaign that fills the room in those first critical months.
- Process and standards: work to Merge's SOPs for onboarding, reporting and account management, and feed back where they can be sharper.

- Hands on experience building, monitoring and optimising Google Ads and Meta Ads campaigns yourself.

- The organisation to hold a portfolio of accounts without anything slipping.
- Full Australian working rights and a current drivers licence for site visits.
