About the role

At Hillview House, we’re looking for a caring and motivated Disability Support Worker to join our team in Lismore, NSW. In this casual role, you’ll be supporting people with disabilities to live more independently, with dignity and comfort. Your work will make a genuine difference in their daily lives, helping them feel supported, valued, and empowered.

What you'll be doing

- Providing day-to-day support to people with a disability in various environments to help improve their independence and achieve their personal goals
- Supporting clients in their daily living activities, including meal preparation, Personal care and light housekeeping
- Assist participants with engaging in community, social and recreational activities
- Maintaining accurate documentation and records related to client care
- Working flexible hours, including overnight shifts, to ensure participants have the care and support they need at all times

Essential Criteria

1. Certificate III (or working towards) in Individual Support, Disability, Aged Care, Community Services, or equivalent work experience.
2. Experience supporting people with disabilities in daily living, community participation, or personal care.
3. Flexibility to work across various shifts including weekends, evenings and sleepovers.
4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with clients
5.



A genuine passion for supporting people with disabilities and a commitment to advocating for their rights and wellbeing
6. Flexibility and adaptability to meet the changing needs of our clients
7. Valid driver’s licence and reliable vehicle with comprehensive insurance.
8. Current NDIS Worker Screening Check or willingness to obtain one
9. Current First Aid and CPR certification or willingness to obtain
