Early Childhood Teacher – 2–3 Days Per Week
6-Month Maternity Leave Contract | Una Paddington
Are you a passionate Early Childhood Teacher looking for a part-time opportunity within a supportive, experienced team?
Una Paddington is seeking a second Early Childhood Teacher to join our service 2–3 days per week on a 6-month maternity leave contract.
Working alongside our existing ECT and leadership team, you will have the opportunity to contribute to a high-quality Kindergarten program, build meaningful relationships with children and families, and support an engaging curriculum that reflects children’s interests, strengths and individual learning journeys.

About the Role As our second ECT, you will:
- Work collaboratively with our existing ECT, Educational Leader and wider educator team.
- Support the delivery of an engaging, play-based Kindergarten program.
- Develop meaningful and responsive relationships with children and families.
- Contribute to observations, documentation and the cycle of planning.
- Support children's individual learning, development and transition to school.
- Embed inclusive, child-led and nature-based learning opportunities.
- Maintain a strong understanding of the EYLF, Queensland Kindergarten Learning Guideline and National Quality Framework.
- Contribute positively to the culture and professional practice of the service.
About You We are looking for someone who:
- Holds an approved Bachelor of Early Childhood Education qualification, or equivalent recognised by ACECQA.
- Has a current Queensland Working with Children Blue Card.
- Has current First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis qualifications.
- Has completed relevant Child Protection and Child Safety training.
- Has a genuine passion for early childhood education and strong knowledge of contemporary curriculum and pedagogy.
- Builds warm, respectful and responsive relationships with children.
- Values teamwork, communication and reflective practice.
- Is committed to creating an inclusive, safe and engaging learning environment.
