About the Role

Based in the Member's electorate office in Launceston, you will be a key member of a small team supporting the Member's community and parliamentary responsibilities.

You will be trusted to manage competing priorities, exercise sound judgement and build positive relationships with constituents, community organisations, Ministerial offices and government agencies.

Key responsibilities include

- Managing constituent enquiries and casework, helping people navigate government services and resolve complex issues.
- Preparing correspondence, briefing materials and research on electorate and community matters.
- Coordinating the Member's schedule, meetings, events and travel.
- Supporting the effective operation of the electorate office, including administration and record keeping.

About You

We seek an organised,



adaptable and community minded professional who enjoys problem solving and working with people.

It is likely you bring experience from public administration, local government, community services, legal support, communications, stakeholder engagement or another environment requiring professionalism, sound judgement and robust relationship management skills.

You can demonstrate

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Sound judgement, discretion and emotional intelligence.
- The ability to build productive relationships with people from diverse backgrounds.
- Initiative, adaptability and a proactive approach to work.
- An understanding of Greens values and Tasmanian parliamentary processes, or the ability to quickly develop this knowledge.

Employment Details

- Crown Prerogative appointment.
- Salary from $75,125 per annum (pro-rata for part-time), with higher remuneration considered based on skills and experience.
- Occasional intrastate travel and some out of hours work may be required.
